Sr. Inhalation Toxicologist/Aerosol Scientist

We are currently seeking a Senior Inhalation Toxicologist or Aerosol Scientist with experience in inhalation aspects of aerosols to join our Inhalation Toxicology Division. This individual is responsible for the design, development, validation and documentation of all study-specific inhalation exposure systems for small and large animal GLP and non-GLP preclinical studies. Will develop automated control/data collection systems using LabView software. Studies include aerosol generation and measurement, inhalation toxicology, respiratory dosimetry, and pulmonary physiology.

This individual will be responsible for developing new areas of research to enhance the capabilities within the Inhalation Toxicology division. Function as study director on inhalation toxicology studies, Participates in sponsor meetings, presents study results, takes part in business development efforts, and prepares proposals. Will provide technical leadership and training to junior staff in various aspects of aerosol research.

We require a minimum of a MS degree with emphasis in toxicology with inhalation specialty or Aerosol Science and respiratory deposition with 7+ years applicable experience (or 5+ with PhD). Experience in project management is a plus.

Laboratory Biologist(s) – Microbiology and Molecular Biology Division

We are currently seeking 1-2 individuals to join our Microbiology and Molecular Biology Division. Will perform work with infectious microorganisms in bio-safety level 2 and 3 laboratories, and will be required to wear all necessary PPE in a shower-out environment. Responsible for dosing and cage checks of various laboratory animals. Will work on GLP-compliant in vivo microbiology experiments. Work will also include performing ELISAs, RT-PCR, and mammalian cell culture maintenance. Will maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment. Performs and documents experiments according to established protocols.

We require a bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field; concentration in Microbiology, Virology, or Molecular Biology preferred. Recent graduates (0-2 years of experience) welcome to apply. Must have high attention to detail and be willing and able to follow all safety and security requirements. Various vaccinations required. Position also requires drug screening and submission of fingerprints and personal information to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Laboratory Biologist(s) – Inhalation Toxicology Division

We are currently seeking 1-2 individuals to join our Inhalation Toxicology Division. Will perform work on studies that measure the effect of inhalation of various materials like gases, fumes, smoke, etc. on various animal models. Responsible for dosing and cage checks of small laboratory animals (mice, rats, rabbits, and dogs). Will work on GLP-compliant in vivo toxicology experiments.

We require a bachelor’s degree in Biology – some chemistry coursework is helpful. Any experience in a GLP environment I and/or any experience handling small laboratory animals is a plus.

Occupational Health Nurse – part-time

We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) with occupational health experience to coordinate our medical surveillance program for technical staff, provide on-site medical consultation and staff training in health related areas.

The successful candidate must be a registered nurse with an active license to practice in Illinois. We require a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Non-clinical laboratory or industrial experience is preferred. Should have general working knowledge of OSHA regulations related to laboratory environments. Certification in occupational health nursing is preferred.

There is flexibility with the number of hours and days of the week within standard business hours of 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please include your hours of availability and desired schedule when applying.
