Executive Assistant

We are currently seeking an individual to provide professional complex administrative and advanced support services for the President of IIT Research Institute (IITRI). This person will act as a liaison between the executive management office and executive peers, outside organizations, vendors, consultants and other internal and external contacts.

This individual will utilize knowledge of IITRI operations, company policy, the organization and services, to assist executive while navigating a complex environment. Will prepare detailed scientific proposals and reports. This position has access to and regularly works with information of the most sensitive, highly confidential, strategic and critical nature.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in executive administrative support. Must have advanced MS Word skills, along with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and database management software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Must be able to work under minimal supervision. Any training experience is a plus.

Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (20-24 hours per week)

We are currently seeking an individual to join our Occupational Health Office. The position provides a flexible working environment between Monday and Friday during regular business hours.

The Nurse Practitioner uses clinical judgments in conducting employee health assessments. Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with consulting physicians. Responsible for employee clinical oversight and administration of the Occupational Health Office.

Candidates should have 3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an occupational health, ambulatory care, or emergency department setting. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois. Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred. An occupational health certification and/or military healthcare experience a plus.

Sr. Inhalation Toxicologist/Aerosol Scientist

We are currently seeking a Senior Inhalation Toxicologist or Aerosol Scientist with experience in inhalation aspects of aerosols to join our Inhalation Toxicology Division. This individual is responsible for the design, development, validation and documentation of all study-specific inhalation exposure systems for small and large animal GLP and non-GLP preclinical studies. Will develop automated control/data collection systems using LabView software. Studies include aerosol generation and measurement, inhalation toxicology, respiratory dosimetry, and pulmonary physiology.

This individual will be responsible for developing new areas of research to enhance the capabilities within the Inhalation Toxicology division. Function as study director on inhalation toxicology studies, Participates in sponsor meetings, presents study results, takes part in business development efforts, and prepares proposals. Will provide technical leadership and training to junior staff in various aspects of aerosol research.

We require a minimum of a MS degree with emphasis in toxicology with inhalation specialty or Aerosol Science and respiratory deposition with 7+ years applicable experience (or 5+ with PhD). Experience in project management is a plus.
