Research and Senior Chemists

We are looking for two experienced chemists to work in our expanding Analytical Chemistry Division. Successful candidates will join a team supporting preclinical and clinical drug discovery and development programs.

Senior Chemist – Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in chemistry with 10+ years of experience in the development, validation, and application of LC-MS/MS and other methods to quantitate drugs and other xenobiotics in biological matrices. Position will also involve supervision of laboratory chemists and other staff. Extensive experience in analytical method development is essential; experience in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant research environment is desirable.

Research Chemist – Ph.D. in chemistry with 1+ years of experience in the analysis of drugs or other small molecules using LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques. Experience in analytical method development is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance Auditor

We are currently seeking an individual who can work independently in a detailed fashion to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for performing audits and reviews of study protocols, laboratory procedures, study data, facilities, and reports to determine the level of compliance with internal standard operating procedures and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and standards. The candidate must have a scientific background and the ability to provide a consistent and methodic review of study data and reports. Strong communication skills are necessary to disseminate audit findings to study directors and management. The incumbent will interact with study scientists, technical staff, study sponsors and other auditors in a professional manner.

We require a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant QA auditing experience in a GLP laboratory environment. The candidate should have exceptional interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Appropriate quality certification(s) (SQA or ASQ) a plus.

Research/Senior Toxicologist

We are currently seeking a Research to Senior level Toxicologist in our Toxicology Division with anywhere from 0-10+ years of experience. We require someone who is a self-starter to serve as a Study Director for GLP-compliant non-clinical toxicology studies, and will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program.

We require a PhD in toxicology or related field, or a DVM with research experience in toxicology. Experience as a Study Director for GLP-compliant studies is highly desirable. Candidates for a senior-level position should be board-certified in toxicology (DABT), have extensive applicable experience, and have a record of extramural funding from the NIH or other sources.

Laboratory Biologists – Toxicology

Due to expansion, we are seeking multiple Lab Biologists for our Toxicology Division. This position works under the supervision of a Study Director and Technical Supervisor to provide support with collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of data from pre-clinical studies of biological activity of chemical and physical agents.

Methods and techniques used will include those from the disciplines of toxicology, zoology, anatomy, and related fields. These techniques include the routine handling of animals (in vivo studies) including non-human primates, dogs, rabbits, rats, mice, etc.; administration of test agents; collection and entry of observational data; and collection of biological samples for analysis. We require a bachelor's degree in Biology or related field or equivalent experience. Experience handling laboratory animals or animals in a veterinary environment is a plus. Local candidates strongly preferred; no relocation is available for these positions.

Quality Control Data Reviewer

We are currently seeking an individual to join our Quality Control (QC) team. This individual will ensure the integrity of data collected during laboratory studies and that good documentation practices and study protocols are followed throughout the study process. Will document findings and notify appropriate staff of results, and work with them on any corrective action.

We require a bachelor’s degree in a science related field and 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment or QA/QC group.

Senior Business Operations Leaders

We are currently seeking two innovative and strategic leaders to join our Business Operations team. One position will direct the financial and accounting activities of the organization which will include oversight of payroll processing and reporting. The other position will oversee contracts administration, purchasing, information technology and human resources. Both positions will be instrumental in analyzing and exploring means to reduce costs and recommend organizational performance improvement activities.

Professionals in these roles will develop and implement short- and long-term plans to meet and exceed revenue, net income and budget goals and will partner with divisional leaders to ensure compliance with sponsored research contracts and successful completion of projects. Will provide tactical direction, strategic analysis, and business opportunity assessment to the organization. Responsibilities would also involve mentoring, coaching, developing, and motivating staff to ensure effective operational support.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field; professional certification and/or advanced degree strongly preferred. Must have 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in federal government accounting and contracts management. Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills are critical. A security clearance will be required after employment.
