Research and Senior Chemists

We are looking for two experienced chemists to work in our expanding Analytical Chemistry Division. Successful candidates will join a team supporting preclinical and clinical drug discovery and development programs.

Senior Chemist – Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in chemistry with 10+ years of experience in the development, validation, and application of LC-MS/MS and other methods to quantitate drugs and other xenobiotics in biological matrices. Position will also involve supervision of laboratory chemists and other staff. Extensive experience in analytical method development is essential; experience in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant research environment is desirable.

Research Chemist – Ph.D. in chemistry with 1+ years of experience in the analysis of drugs or other small molecules using LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques. Experience in analytical method development is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance Auditor

We are currently seeking an individual who can work independently in a detailed fashion to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for performing audits and reviews of study protocols, laboratory procedures, study data, facilities, and reports to determine the level of compliance with internal standard operating procedures and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and standards. The candidate must have a scientific background and the ability to provide a consistent and methodic review of study data and reports. Strong communication skills are necessary to disseminate audit findings to study directors and management. The incumbent will interact with study scientists, technical staff, study sponsors and other auditors in a professional manner.

We require a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant QA auditing experience in a GLP laboratory environment. The candidate should have exceptional interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Appropriate quality certification(s) (SQA or ASQ) a plus.

Research/Senior Toxicologist

We are currently seeking a Research to Senior level Toxicologist in our Toxicology Division with anywhere from 0-10+ years of experience. We require someone who is a self-starter to serve as a Study Director for GLP-compliant non-clinical toxicology studies, and will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program.

We require a PhD in toxicology or related field, or a DVM with research experience in toxicology. Experience as a Study Director for GLP-compliant studies is highly desirable. Candidates for a senior-level position should be board-certified in toxicology (DABT), have extensive applicable experience, and have a record of extramural funding from the NIH or other sources.

Laboratory Biologists – Toxicology

Due to expansion, we are seeking multiple Lab Biologists for our Toxicology Division. This position works under the supervision of a Study Director and Technical Supervisor to provide support with collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of data from pre-clinical studies of biological activity of chemical and physical agents.

Methods and techniques used will include those from the disciplines of toxicology, zoology, anatomy, and related fields. These techniques include the routine handling of animals (in vivo studies) including non-human primates, dogs, rabbits, rats, mice, etc.; administration of test agents; collection and entry of observational data; and collection of biological samples for analysis. We require a bachelor's degree in Biology or related field or equivalent experience. Experience handling laboratory animals or animals in a veterinary environment is a plus. Local candidates strongly preferred; no relocation is available for these positions.

Occupational Health Nurse – part-time

We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) with occupational health experience to coordinate our medical surveillance program for technical staff, provide on-site medical consultation and staff training in health related areas.

The successful candidate must be a registered nurse with an active license to practice in Illinois. We require a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Non-clinical laboratory or industrial experience is preferred. Should have general working knowledge of OSHA regulations related to laboratory environments. Certification in occupational health nursing is preferred.

There is flexibility with the number of hours and days of the week within standard business hours of 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please include your hours of availability and desired schedule when applying.

Technical Writer

This individual will be responsible for generating technical reports for pre-clinical studies by compiling, tabulating, and reviewing study data and preparing comprehensive narrative under the supervision of the Study Director/Principal Investigator. Will create, with minimal supervision, non-clinical laboratory reports and related documents according to company guidelines and applicable regulatory guidance. Reports are prepared to present non-clinical data objectively in a clear, concise format. The Technical Writer ensures the quality, compliance with internal and external standards, and timely and efficient production of English-language study reports using applicable work processing tools and electronic document management system. Additional duties included editing/proofreading standard operating procedures, protocols, study plans and manuscripts.

Must possess superior editorial and analytical skills. A bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline is required, along with proven experience editing and preparing scientific documents. Must have either a biology/chemistry degree with writing/editing experience OR Technical Communication, English, or other appropriate degree with at least 2 years of scientific writing/editing experience.

Must be capable of using various data processing and management tools, including Microsoft Word/Excel/Access, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, and statistical analysis software.
