LABORATORY BIOLOGISTS – TOXICOLOGY

Chicago, IL

Due to expansion, we are seeking multiple Lab Biologists for our Toxicology Division. This position works under the supervision of a Study Director and Technical Supervisor to provide support with collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of data from pre-clinical studies of biological activity of chemical and physical agents.

Methods and techniques used will include those from the disciplines of toxicology, zoology, anatomy, and related fields. These techniques include the routine handling of animals (in vivo studies) including non-human primates, dogs, rabbits, rats, mice, etc.; administration of test agents; collection and entry of observational data; and collection of biological samples for analysis. We require a bachelor's degree in Biology or related field or equivalent experience. Experience handling laboratory animals or animals in a veterinary environment is a plus. Local candidates strongly preferred; no relocation is available for these positions.

ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY RESEARCH CHEMIST

We are looking for an experienced chemist to work in our expanding Analytical Chemistry Division. Successful candidates will join a team supporting preclinical and clinical drug discovery and development programs.

Research Chemist – Ph.D. in chemistry with 1+ years of experience in the analysis of drugs or other small molecules using LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques. Experience in analytical method development is highly desirable.

SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Chicago, IL

We are currently seeking an innovative and strategic financial professional to join our Business Operations team. In this position you will direct the financial and accounting activities of the organization which will include oversight of payroll processing and reporting. You will be instrumental in analyzing and exploring means to reduce costs and recommend organizational performance improvement activities.

In this role you will develop and implement short- and long-term plans to meet and exceed revenue, net income and budget goals and will partner with divisional leaders to ensure compliance with sponsored research contracts and successful completion of projects. Will provide tactical direction, strategic analysis, and business opportunity assessment to the organization. Responsibilities would also involve mentoring, coaching, developing, and motivating staff to ensure effective operational support.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in federal government accounting and contracts management. Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) required and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Experience to include having developed indirect overhead rates, tracking actual costs incurred against budgets, and have prepared incurred cost proposals to the government.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. CPA is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills are critical.
  • Experience with JAMIS software is a plus.
  • A security clearance will be required after employment. MICROBIOLOGY & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY RESEARCH BIOLOGIST

Chicago, IL

To support the continued expansion of our research programs, IITRI is currently seeking an individual to join our Microbiology & Molecular Biology Division. Will serve as a Study Director of GLP-compliant in vivo virology experiments. Responsibilities include planning and performing experiments, supervising laboratory technicians, and preparing data reports. Will maintain current sponsor relationships, and work with our Business Development group to expand research programs.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Virology or other related area with a minimum of 1 year of post-doctoral experience. Recent graduates or post-docs with appropriate technical experience will be considered. Must have experience with in vivo models of infectious viruses. Experience with planning and performing experiments with pathogenic organisms under bio-safety level 2 or 3 conditions also required. Experience working with respiratory viruses is preferred, but not necessarily required.

Must have excellent writing and presentation skills. US citizenship is required for this position. Security clearance may be required. The position requires submission of fingerprints and personal information to the U.S. Department of Justice, random drug screening, and vaccinations.
