We were lucky to have this year’s Innovations in Countermeasures & Toxicology Research (ICTR) Conference happen right here in Chicago at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University from June 1-3. Israr, from our Toxicology team, attended and gained new insights and key networking opportunities in the areas of medical countermeasure (MCM) discovery and development.
At IITRI, we have a long history of supporting countermeasure studies focused on pathogens and have previously supported studies with toxic threats and chemical agents as well. At this meeting, the main toxidromes of interest included adverse effects on the eyes, skin, lungs, nervous system, and respiratory drive.
